The "CPI" Allowance - For Clothing, Personal Maintenance, and Necessary Incidentals
This report responds to Chapter 346, Laws of 1998, Section 211(6) and describes the purpose of the department's CPI (Clothing, Personal maintenance and necessary Incidental items) allowance, the CPI allowance levels in use, consideration of other sources of income, and cost scenarios of increasing the CPIs. Comparisons with other state approaches are included.
